GAMIFICATION LEADERBOARDS
This single page leaderboard was created out of the need for a gamified product to view their points in a leaderboard format to drive competition and surface point value/standings. The leadboard could be dispalyed by specific user groups, or as an overall format.
USER RESEARCH SUMMARY
The user research for this project used eye tracking and usability labs. The goal was to discern if proposed layouts were valid for a usable leaderboard. The study concluded that users most relevant infomation on the leaderboard was the top 3 individuals and where the user themselves was ranked. In the end, the design was to enlarge the top three and eventually add in functionality to "Jump-to" a users rank.
COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT
The leaderboard started as a list, moved to left side top 3 leaders, and eventually had the below design as the top 3 leaders surfaced first and formost. Each individual has their avatar, job title, and current points readily displayed in a clean simple format.

PROJECT LESSONS LEARNED
This project was a great experience for surfacing information. Users tend to want to see the most relevant information at the top of a page or element and usually enlarged for emphasis. Lists are great to a point, but no user should have to scroll through multiple pages to find the information they want the most.
